I was raised in a small village called Ngong in Nairobi, Kenya. In a family of five, I am the third born. Unfortunately, my dad passed away when I was 17, and at that time, my mom, who took on various daily jobs, became the sole provider for our family. It was challenging for her to cover school fees and essentials for all of us.

During my childhood, Sundays were dedicated to attending church and Sunday school. One Sunday, the pastor asked who wasn't born again, and it struck me that, despite my Christian upbringing, I hadn't undergone that experience.

He explained that God created humans for fellowship, but we had strayed from that path. Celebrating communion marks the story of Jesus, how He gave Himself completely to give us a better life, a new start, and a fresh relationship with God (1 Peter 3:18). It was then that I decided to give my life to Christ. Despite facing financial challenges, I managed to attain a B- in my KCSE and secured admission to Kabarak University.

Not only will this scholarship be a privilege, but also a a game-changer for my four years at the university. It will improve my skills and knowledge in the telecommunications field as we are challenged to do better everyday.
