I grew up in a Christian home. My mother took me and my brother to church every Sunday. I knew God and Jesus from a pretty young age. I was a super active kid. I played outside a lot with the neighbour kid. We were not well off. I used to be sent home a lot for school fees, but since I was a kid I used to enjoy it. I did perform well and went to high school. During my high school years life became hard and every time students were sent for school fees I would be among them. I was so tired of being sent away since I used to miss on a lot. I would sometimes ask God questions and I started growing weak in Faith. There was this time our school held a weekend challenge. I came alive spiritually. Despite the difficulties I was going through I knew time was coming for a breakthrough.
There was this kid in my class who struggled a lot in her studies despite her sacrifice she used to perform poorly. I walked to her and told her anything is possible through God so we held prayer with her every lunch time and did even bible studies. Her name was Tiffany and she started to grow in faith and started to perfume. When I was in form four second term I was sent home for school fees again but I didn’t lose hope. I prayed a lot then a miracle happened. A parent from my school transferred her daughter’s fee to my name since she was transferring her daughter to another school. I was so happy to go to school and shared a word with my classmates that God never fails. There was another miracle that God performed in my life. I used to struggle in Agriculture and that’s what I was top in my KCSE. I want to use my experience for God’s glory.
It is my humble appeal to apply for sponsorship towards my professional education. I applied for support since my parent (single mum) is not financially stable. After I complete my course, it is my desire to help my family, especially my siblings, through extending similar education support opportunities. I would also like to encourage other young girls with career dreams not to give up and to work hard by being a good example. Having said that, I promise to work hard, to help the needy and to be able to leave a mark in this world.
