Teresia Wanjiku Muita

I was born and raised in a Catholic Christian family. My family taught me to always love and obey and trust God with all my heart. My mother and father brought me up in difficulties as she gave birth to me in her mid-teen years. As both of them were still teens, they were financially incapable of raising me. They would do casual jobs so as to put food on the table. My parents really struggled to give me a good education in a private school but they couldn’t manage to pay as I was always sent home for fees and this greatly affected me so they were forced to take me to a public school as it was free. I completed my primary and got good grades to take me to high school. My sister was born so she was little and my father had a good job by that time but I was still sent home a few times for school fees, but thanks to God almighty, I kept my faith in him and also finished my final KCSE and got good grades. That gave me a chance to join University, but due to the great world pandemic my father’s job was struck greatly to a point where he was not able to pay for my fees. So I stayed home praying that God would just open my father’s doors so that at least I would go to school, but he did not answer immediately. With the help of my aunt and uncle they helped me study ICT So that I would get out of the house and learn something. Two years passed with me still at home and now I see my prayer to God being answered as your foundation gave me a new chance to hope and believe that there is a true God who never forgets his children. I had reached a point where I really thought I was alone and I was really stressed and thought my life would go down the drain just like that. For me, Education is the key to success and I really want that key so that I can open those many doors to my success.

I am applying for a sponsorship humbly wishing that you would support me so that I could further my studies and create a good career which would enable me to support my family, my little sister as I am the first born. It is my responsibility to make sure she attains a good education without having to worry about being sent home due to lack of finances. All I wish is to create a better future for those who are behind me. Am a very hardworking girl and I promise to do my very best if you consider supporting me through my journey.
