Pauline’s Story: Trusting God Through Every Season

My name is Pauline Wangeci Njoroge, and I am a born-again Christian who loves God with all my heart. My journey has not always been easy, but through every season of my life, I have learned to trust God, even when I could not see how things would work out.

I grew up in Mombasa with both of my parents and my two younger brothers. Life was stable until I was in Class Six, when my parents separated. My brothers, my mother, and I moved upcountry to live with my grandparents. Being close to both of my parents, the separation was very difficult for me, and growing up without my father was a painful experience. My mother also faced financial challenges, and at different times, my brother and I had to live with my aunt while she stayed with my youngest brother.

Despite these challenges, I remained determined to pursue my education. I have always been passionate about my studies because I believe education can open the door to a better future for me and my family. However, financial difficulties made it increasingly difficult to continue with university. My fees accumulated, and at one point, I had to take an academic leave. It was one of the most difficult periods of my life, but I continued praying and trusting God to make a way.

My faith has been my greatest source of strength. Although I grew up knowing about God, over the years I have come to know Him personally. I have experienced Him as my provider, comforter, strength, and Father. There were moments when I did not know where my next provision would come from, but God always made a way. Losing the relationship I once had with my father was painful, but through that experience, I came to understand God as a Father who never leaves me.

When I learned about AMSHA Foundation, it felt like an answer to many of the prayers I had been making. Through AMSHA’s support, I have been able to continue my education and work towards my dream of becoming a microbiologist. The financial assistance has relieved a great deal of pressure from both my mother and me and has given me renewed hope for the future.

But AMSHA has given me more than financial support. It has also given me an opportunity to grow spiritually and become part of a Christian community. After attending my first AMSHA meeting, I felt a strong sense of belonging. I met people whose faith and love for Christ encouraged me, and I knew this was a community where I wanted to grow, serve, and contribute.

Looking back, I can see that the challenges I have faced have shaped me into the person I am today. They have taught me resilience, patience, gratitude, and, most importantly, to trust God even when I cannot see the way forward.

I am grateful to God for bringing AMSHA Foundation into my journey. I look forward to completing my studies, building my career, becoming independent, and one day using my own experiences to encourage and support others. I hope to give back to the same community that has believed in me and invested in my future.

I believe God has a great plan for my life, and I am learning to trust Him one step at a time. He has carried me this far, and I believe He will continue to lead me into the future He has prepared for me.
