My name is Moraa Karenga. Born and raised in a Christian family. My parents were in the Praise and worship ministry. This must have been my foundation. I had always been interested in music, instruments etc. I was a shy child however, so I watched from the sidelines as my parents served.
I however started my personal journey with Christ in 2015.This was in my final year of high school. Immediately I joined the training required in our Church(Deliverance Church Ong’ata Rongai)and qualified to join the Praise and worship team. This was quickly followed by a program set up by the church that all ministers have to go through(Berean School of Ministry).I graduated in 2017.Over the years I have been privileged to serve in various departments in our church. I am currently serving in various departments in Deliverance church Ong’ata Rongai. The Praise and worship team as the vocal coach, the media department as the secretary, and the development team as the treasurer.
I am currently pursuing a diploma course in Pan African (PAC)university called ‘Transformational Church Leadership.’ It is a modular course spread across 2 and a half years.
As of now I have one year and a half year remaining. That is 15 modules left. My finishing my course will depend on when I resume my course. So far I have been supporting myself per module however now that I am unemployed I am unable to keep it up.
The Diploma I am pursuing is the Transformational Church Leadership program. It is designed to produce a Church leadership that is equipped to impart positive spiritual and economic transformation of the Church and the community. It is rooted in the conviction that this purpose is achieved primarily by the integration of Christian faith and practice into all aspects of life. The course aims to produce empowered leaders who render holistic and transformative ministry and service in the Church and the community.
Since I am a leader in various departments in our church I am very sure that what I learn doing this course will be fully implemented in my leadership in church. I also plan to pursue a degree in the same God willing.
